2015 Fayyaz Sumbal Cup – Lahore

The third Fayyaz Sumbal Cup, an exciting and growing event that is providing real support to the families of victims of terrorism, will be held in Lahore on November 14.
The match brings together some of Pakistan’s biggest cricketing names and members of the diplomatic community in a spirit of friendly competition for a very noble cause.
First held in 2013, the game is named after Deputy Inspector General Fayyaz Sumbal, who was killed in a suicide bombing at a funeral in Quetta.
Fayyaz was highly regarded in his efforts to fight terrorism, and his heroic deeds in the lead-up to the bombing saved many other lives.
He was also well regarded by colleagues in Australia, and the match hopes to honour this memory by building co-operation and harmony between the two countries.
Proceeds from this year’s match will go to the Punjab Police Welfare Fund, and directly aid the families of officers killed and wounded in the line of duty.
We are very grateful for all donations to our cause, we will be posting updates right here at
