Join us on the 11th of January 2020 at historic Bradman Oval in Bowral for a match featuring the AFP and NSW Police. While bad weather hampered last year’s inaugural fixture, this year’s event is back bigger and better, with a great day’s cricket in an ideal setting.
Bradman Oval is, unsurprisingly, the home ground of the incomparable Donald Bradman. The AFP and NSW Police sides will surely feel the weight of history as they walk out to play a match in good spirits for a great cause.
It is with great pleasure that we announce the final match in our event season, the 2016 Sumbal Cup, to be held at historic Rupertswood Cricket Club in Sunbury on Labour Day, 14th March 2016.
This is the second Sumbal Cup to be played at Rupertswood. After the success of last year’s match we were extremely keen to lock in the event as a yearly fixture.
Once again a Sumbal XI will take on a Rupertswood combined XI,
The Fayyaz Sumbal Foundation is pleased to announce its involvement in PollieBash 2016, a friendly cricket game between Tasmanian politicians and the local media gallery.
The third Fayyaz Sumbal Cup in Lahore on Saturday was the biggest day in the Foundation’s two year history. In brilliant conditions at the historic Lahore Gymkhana Club, the Gymkhana XI were victorious in a hugely entertaining game.
Led by a magnificent 63 from Pakistan women’s vice-captain Bismah Maroof, the Australian XI posted 184 from their 30 overs, with international representative Udnan Akmal chipping in with some handy runs in the lower order.
But a Gymkhana side featuring former Pakistan skipper Salim Malik were not to be outdone,
We’ve had a massive weekend, with Perth’s first ever Fayyaz Sumbal Cup, and the third running of the event in Lahore.
Over in Perth, the Pakistani Community XI were triumphant over the Australian Federal Police XI at McLean Oval, Floreat.
Batting first, the Pakistani Community XI notched up 183, with their captain top scoring with a brilliant 98.
In response, the AFP came up short, with the players blaming old hamstrings for the deficit.
This Sunday 15th of November is the first Fayyaz Sumbal Social Cup in Perth.
A Pakistani Community XI will take on an AFP XI in what is sure to be great contest. The game will coincide with our signature event, the 3rd Fayyaz Sumbal Cup in Lahore.
The match will be held at McLean Oval, Floreat, Perth starting at 12.30pm.
A BBQ will be provided and families are welcome.

The year has gone by quickly and it’s important for all of us to take to time to reflect and time to prepare for the glorious upcoming Australian summer and Pakistani winter. Somewhat fittingly, we are proud to announce the major dates for our 2015/16 campaign.

Sides from the AFP & Australian Embassy will take on some of Pakistan’s finest in our showpiece event.
