AT LEAST one police officer is killed on average every day in Pakistan.

For Aussie cop Danny Caruana that statistic hit home when he lost a mate to a suicide bomber.Not only do police in Pakistan face terror attacks and obstacles at every turn, they also work in some of the world’s most dangerous conditions for a meagre salary.When Australian Federal Police anti-terror cop Caruana was sent to Islamabad in November 2012, he was well aware of the huge risks police faced here.What he didn’t know was just how brave these guys really were, especially when it came to fighting terror.It was only when fellow police officer and friend Fayyaz Sumbal was killed in a terror attack last year that it really hit home.
